Cheltenham

Theft … Various tools were reported stolen June 23 from a home in the 8100 block of Washington Lane, police said.

Damage … A window was reported cracked by thrown rocks at 9:35 a.m. June 24 at a home in the 7900 block of High School Road, police said.

Burglary … A TV, laptop computer, MacBook computer and jewelry were reported stolen at 3:07 p.m. June 24 during a burglary at a unit at the Rolling Hill Apartments in the unit block of Township Line Road, police said. The front door was forced to gain entry, police said.

Theft … Two mountain bikes were reported stolen at 7:21 p.m. June 24 from outside an apartment in the 8000 block of High School Road, police said.

Bikes stolen… A green mountain bike and royal blue adult mountain bike were reported stolen at 8:40 a.m. June 25 from the side of a home in the 1100 block of Arboretum Road, police said. The bikes were taken during the previous week, police said.

Retail theft … Keith Wiggins, 50, of the 400 block of Wellesley Road, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft June 25 after attempting to take $161 in goods from Pathmark, 1000 S. Easton Road, around 12:05 p.m., police said.

Theft … A wallet was taken from a shopping cart June 25 while a customer was in ShopRite, 2385 W. Cheltenham Ave., between 2 and 3:30 p.m., police said. The victim did not notice the theft until checking out, police said.

Vandalism … Eggs struck the rear side door of a vehicle westbound on Cheltenham Avenue near Williams Way at 4:53 p.m. June 25, police said.

Phone stolen … An iPhone5C was taken from the takeout counter at Chili’s Bar Grill, 2451 W. Cheltenham Ave., around 9:55 p.m. June 25 after the victim left it there by accident, police said. Continued…

Fraud … A resident reported June 25 that a Visa debit card that was in a wallet lost in May was fraudulently used to charge $1,200 to the victim’s account, police said.

Retail theft … Dwayne Fulton, 39, of the 8500 block of Forrest Avenue, Philadelphia, was cited for retail theft at 10 a.m. June 26 after taking $128.83 in goods from Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane, police said.

Theft … A brown wallet was taken from a woman’s purse while she was in the physical therapy department around 1 p.m. June 26 at Elkins Park Hospital, 60 E. Township Line Road, police said.

Retail theft … Nicole Fleming, 39, of the 6000 block of Ross Street, Philadelphia; and Gloria Mason, 41, of the 6500 block of North 5th Street, Philadelphia, were cited for retail theft at 6:22 p.m. June 26 after taking $33.96 and $67.87, respectively, in goods from Burlington Coat Factory, 2385 W. Cheltenham Ave., police said.

Fraud … A resident reported June 26 that $1,400 in unauthorized charges had been made to the victim’s credit card, police said.

Theft … Cigarettes valued at $2,100 were stolen from a delivery truck around 11:30 a.m. June 27 at the Einstein Medical Center, 60 E. Township Line Road, police said. A male had stowed away on the back of the delivery truck and when it slowed, he jumped out with the cigarettes from the rear and fled in a waiting white Ford Freestar, police said.

Theft … A resident of the 7700 block of Wagner Way reported June 27 that $400 was stolen from a dresser drawer, police said.

Theft … A sensor strip that allows entry to an apartment complex in the 8400 block of Limekiln Pike was reported stolen from a vehicle parked there at 12:35 p.m. June 27, police said.

Theft … An Apple MacBook Pro was reported stolen from a home in the 7600 block of Old York Road at 1:10 p.m. June 27, police said.

Vandalism … Eggs were reported thrown at a property in the 100 block of Towanda Avenue at 3:11 p.m. June 27, police said. Continued…

Burglary … Jewelry was taken during a burglary June 27 at a home in the 7300 block of Oak Lane Road, police said. Entry was made through a first-floor window, police said.

Criminal mischief … Eggs were reported thrown at a residence in the 7700 block of Woodland Avenue at 5:51 p.m. June 27, police said.

Theft … A GPS, cellphone and backpack with personal papers were reported stolen at 7:29 p.m. June 27 from a vehicle parked at Einstein at Elkins Park, 60 E. Township Line Road, police said. The passenger side front window was broken to gain entry, police said.

Warrant … Thomas Ball, 29, of the 100 block of Penn Avenue, Telford, was taken into custody by Telford police and turned over to Cheltenham police at 10:32 p.m. June 27 on an outstanding warrant, police said.

Car stolen … A blue, 2004 Audi A8, PA license GTF5733, was reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. June 28 from the driveway of a home in the 500 block of Davis Road, police said.

Retail theft … Dharmendra Gopaul, 39, of the 3500 block of North 15th Street, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft at 11:28 a.m. June 28 after attempting to take $883.13 worth of goods from Home Depot, 2385 W. Cheltenham Ave., police said.

Theft … Lombardo’s Mowers, 547 W. Glenside Ave., reported at 12:33 p.m. June 28 that scrap metal items had been taken from the parking lot storage area, police said.

Robbery … A man was robbed at gunpoint of a handgun, wallet and cellphone at 3:56 p.m. June 28 in the 1200 block of Melrose Avenue, police said. The robbers were described as two heavyset, black males with dark skin, one with a goatee and the other with bushy sideburns, police said. The two were traveling in a newer model, gold Chevy Malibu or Impala with New York plates, police said.

Fraud … A resident reported June 28 an unauthorized transaction for $75 was charged to the victim’s debit card, police said.

Vandalism … A brick was reported thrown through a window of a home in the 1300 block of Willow Avenue at 3:32 a.m. June 29, police said. Continued…

Theft … Lawn chairs were reported stolen at 11:19 a.m. June 29 from outside a home in the 1600 block of Cheltenham Avenue, police said.

ID theft … Deloras Manning, 50, of the 7700 block of Washington Lane, Elkins Park, was charged with identity theft, theft, tampering with public records, and possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia June 29 after she attempted to cash a check at TD Bank, 2385 W. Cheltenham Ave., at 2:08 p.m. with a driver’s license issued to another person, police said. Curtis Gaffney, 47, of the 2700 block of Gratz Street, Philadelphia, who was in a vehicle with Manning, also was charged with possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Theft … Wallets were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked at Curtis Arboretum, 1250 W. Church Road, between 5:10 and 6:40 p.m. June 29, police said.
